This is the EPAs highest honor, recognizing businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to energy efficiency and the transition to a clean energy economy.

sustainNU invites you to celebrate Earth Month! Throughout April, there are opportunities to engage with your community and take action for a healthier planet. Earth month kicks off with a session on the importance of pollinators, next up is a guided tour of the Actions for Earth exhibit at the Block, followed by a fair featuring the creative ways our campus supports sustainability, and wraps up with our annual Arbor Day tree planting.

Northwestern made history in 1970 when 10,000 people crowded into the Technological Institute to stay up throughout the night reflecting on the state of our environment. This teach-out, called “Project Survival”, sparked a nationwide series of environmental events as media coverage caught wind of the large-scale gathering.

Four new electric vehicle charging stations, strategically placed in the Huron Superior and Erie Ontario parking garages, demonstrate the University’s commitment to fostering environmentally conscious practices and supporting the growing prevalence of electric vehicles.
